π Who We Are Playing For
This year, our fundraising efforts are a special collaboration between two incredible causes:
- The Track Guy Foundation: Supporting Iowa running athletes in need.
- The Casey M. Jay Cancer Foundation: Established in loving memory of Casey, who passed away from cancer in 2024. The Weekend Warrior was one of the very last activities Casey was able to participate in, making this incredibly meaningful to our community.
ποΈ Live Charity Auction
Here is a sneak peek of some featured items:
- PackAmo Package ($500 Value): 11 days of free doggie day care OR 9 days of boarding.
- Premium Wine Basket ($150 Value): Two great bottles of wine plus treats.
- Iowa-Nebraska Football Tickets: Two seats on the 50-yard line!
βοΈ The Decathlon Scoring
- First place in any event receives 26 points, scaling down to 1 point for last place.
- The team with the most points across Golf, Bowling, Bike, and Run takes the crown.
Tiebreaker Rules
If two athletes finish with the exact same score or time, the following tiebreakers apply to determine who gets the higher decathlon points:
- π³ Bowling: Highest single game wins. If still tied, we compare the second-highest game.
- β³οΈ Golf: Hardest handicapped hole. We compare scores starting with the #1 handicap hole and proceed down the handicap rankings until the tie is broken.
- π΄ββοΈ Bike & πββοΈ Run: In the incredibly rare event of an exact chip-time tie, the tie stands and points are split (or determined by the scoring committee).
